When we visited the Polar Museum to make our narwhal tusks we also had a go at writing a Polar story. In the Museum we were told about polar winter nights where it is dark all day and all night. We experienced the darkness by putting on a blindfold and using our other senses to explore some polar artefacts.
We then took it in turns to write a sentence of the story.
S and A began the story and the other children continued. Each sentence was covered by a sheet and then the whole story was revealed at the end.
We continued the first two lines at a later time with the boys’ Auntie, each person adding a sentence in turn. Here is how the story turned out.
