Last weekend we watched a fantastic performance at the theatre. Entitled “The Knight Who Took All Day”, our afternoon was spent listening to the Hertford Symphony Orchestra playing a series of pieces, whilst on stage artist and author James Mayhew painted in time to the music.
The results were stunning.
Inspired by painting to music we had a go at home but tied our painting into our Chinese New Year celebrations.
Set with red and gold paint, paper, brushes and some classical Chinese music the boys painted as we listened.
Here is what they came up with.
“It’s a dragon” says A. “He’s breathing out fire.” Two golden dragons and quite a lot of fire!
