This week we are thinking about taking down the Christmas decorations. It has been a magical Christmas full of the boys’ new creations as well as a few old favourites. To fill the emptiness I spent the afternoon creating some colourful felted pom pom ball decorations using some left over felted balls that I used to make my sister these coasters.
I love the colours of the felted balls. I began by hot gluing three balls onto some crocodile clips thinking I could attach these to the twigs and branches we have in a vase.
I also threaded some onto a length of cotton to create garland. I tied a knot in the cotton roughly where I wanted each ball to rest, but it was only by eye.
With the remaining few I threaded them onto some cotton which I attached to a key ring to make a key fob for the patio doors.
All in all a relaxing afternoon!
