S has been tasked with creating a representation of the river that runs through our village. This afternoon we went for a walk to look at the colours and shapes.
When back home we explored some of the colours using watercolour paints and the addition of salt to the pictures.
This is how we did it.
S started by applying the watercolours to his paper.
He then sprinkled in some salt which changed the texture and colour of the paint. S particularly noted the trees growing at the side of the river and wanted to add them to his picture.
Here is his finished picture.
A loved exploring the paint and salt too!
