A has started to bring home a story pack each week from Nursery. The pack contains a book, some props, plus suggested activities to share at home. Our first story was “The Three Billy Goats Gruff”. The boys were familiar with the story and could help retell it using the toy goats and wooden bridge.
A few days later we decided to be goats ourselves and build a larger bridge from milk crates and pieces of wood. The boys spent a long time getting their bridges balanced and big enough for Papa troll to go underneath and for us to walk safely across.
Here are the goats on the bare ground ready to cross the bridge. A was the small billy goat crossing the bridge first, followed by Mummy who was the middle-sized goat.
S, the biggest goat, came face to face with the troll on the bridge.
Luckily he tossed him in to the water and crossed to the other side to eat the fresh grass!
What would you have made your bridge from?
