Whilst at “Waking up for Winter” with Vital Spark Theatre this week, we listened to stories about Hazel the hedgehog and even made our own clay hedgehogs. The grown-ups were given little bag of hedgehog food to feed any hedgehogs in our gardens.
Our cat, Pudding found the hedgehog food and seemed very interested in it so we put it away for a couple of days and this morning A and I built a hedgehog house in the garden and put out the food . Most of the hedgehog house designs we found online were made from wood but we found a design using bricks and paving slabs; we have lots of these in our garden so we had a go using them.
A found a round disc of wood which he thought would make a good house sign.
We drilled a hole in it and threaded through some cord to hang it up. He wrote on the front.
Rest assured A did remove his toy hedgehog!
