I recently had the opportunity to attend a book making course at work. It was the most enjoyable two hours and I came away with a miniature book which I had made.
That evening I bought book binding tape and found some mount board scraps online ready to create my own little books. On a separate occasion I had seen “My Miniature Library: 30 Tiny Books to Make, Read and Treasure” by Daniela Jaglenka Terrazzini (ISBN 978-1786270252) and had bought it with the intention of making them with the boys at some point.
Then I decided to combine both. I used the pages from the mini library but cut and bound my own covers. Perfect little books for a fairy library!
I made a library sign and library cards using my pyrography tool…
and had the library set up one afternoon when we went for a fairy tea in the woods.
The boys were very excited and enjoyed browsing through the books, selecting two to takeaway with their library cards!
We are looking forwards to when the library will be open again!
